The Real Madrid coach has spoken out on more than one occasion about the fixture load that all teams are currently facing. On Friday, Carlo Ancelotti once again referred to the calendar and the possibility of footballers going on strike if things don't change. "I repeat what I said the other day, football needs to reflect. The aim is to play less to avoid injuries. The players have no problem taking a pay cut if they play less," he told reporters. He said he already knows that "the calendar this season is not going to change at all", but added that the idea is for things to improve from now on: "The players are getting tired, they want to change the future and I think that's right."
