Real Madrid have temporarily cancelled the concerts at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium, according to several media reports and confirmed by the club through their networks. Madrid City Council has limited itself to explaining through a source to 'EFE' that it is "a Real Madrid matter". According to media outlets such as 'Cadena SER' and 'Relevo', the concerts would cease until March 2025. Last Tuesday, Madrid mayor Jose Luis Martinez-Almeida insisted that the city council would continue to work with Real Madrid to "definitively minimise" the nuisance that the concerts held at the stadium generate in the neighbourhood, insofar as the measures taken so far have brought some improvement, although, he admitted, they were not enough. The Romeo Santos concerts held this weekend marked the return of music to the Santiago Bernabeu, but with a series of measures agreed between the Consistory and the club to minimise the nuisance of the concerts, such as making it compulsory for the concerts to finish before 11 pm.   September 13, 2024
